Founded in 2002, Qtv is a division of BroadQ International. The company launched its first media-player product, QCast for the PlayStation 2, in October 2002. QCast enabled the digital living room by transforming the PlayStation 2 into a versatile, network-connected set-top media player. In 2003, BroadQ released the second version of the QCast software through Mad Catz, Inc. under the product name GameShark Media Player. In 2004, a multi-language PAL version of QCast was released in Europe through trendExpress under the product name Medio.

BroadQ’s latest media player, “Qtv,” is scheduled to launch in the Fall of 2009. Qtv extends QCast technology to enable network interoperability with mobile phones and PDAs. Qtv is the first software-based solution to provide access to personal and Internet content/services on the TV, Computer, and Mobile using a single user-interface.
